What is the role about? Working across the five divisions of the business you will help the team understand the requirements of the business and identify suitable digital solutions for current and future services. You will be confident at gathering requirements through a range of methods including focus groups, interviews, observations and interrogating data. You will be experienced in presenting back recommendations and proposals based on your research. You will be required to regularly work with other departments and workstream leads, notably Business Development, IT and Operations during product and service development projects.
Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Working closely with Reed in Partnership stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to understand requirements, develop solutions, and ensure successful project delivery across a range of areas.
Researching the technology landscape: Conduct thorough research and analysis of technology trends, advancements, and solutions across all five divisions of Reed in Partnership. Stay updated with industry standards and emerging technologies that could benefit the organisation.
Procurement support: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements for Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) solutions. Assist in articulating these requirements and evaluating potential solutions, including buy vs. build assessments. Support the procurement process by providing expertise in technology evaluations, vendor selection, and contract negotiations.
Sales tender support: Provide technical expertise and support in preparing sales tenders. Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and contribute to proposal development. Participate in client meetings and presentations as necessary.
Technology optimisation: Evaluate existing technologies deployed for RinP's contracts. Identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and optimisation. Collaborate with project teams to implement enhancements, streamline processes, and maximise the value delivered to clients.

Essential Criteria
Proven experience in converting customer needs into software requirements.
Ability to analyse complex problems, evaluate alternatives, and provide practical recommendations.
Proficiency in documenting requirements, translating business needs into technology solutions, modelling use cases, diagrams (process flows, data flows etc) and system specifications.
Good experience with standard Business Analyst tools e.g. Microsoft Visio.
Highly analytical, making good use of data to understand key business drivers and to underpin strategic and tactical decision making.
Able to balance competing priorities and manage stakeholder expectation.
Good communication and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to and leading workshops.
Strong understanding of technology trends, market landscape, and emerging solutions.
Experience in the procurement process, including requirements gathering, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiations.
