We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in San Jose, California. The Shipping Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all outgoing shipments. This position requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining efficient warehouse operations. You will be responsible for verifying shipment contents, preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that all packages meet shipping requirements. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. Attention to detail is paramount to prevent errors and ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Accurately document and process all outgoing shipments.
- Prepare bills of lading, shipping labels, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Inspect packages for damage or discrepancies before shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for shipping supplies.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, which may involve some Lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics preferred.
- Proficiency in using computers and basic office software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting.
- Knowledge of shipping procedures and carrier requirements is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
