The Head of Data, Analytics is a senior enterprise leadership role responsible for building and running a best-in‑class data, analytics and AI function within a Global organisation based in London with around 4000 users. The role exists to turn complex customer, commercial, CRM and financial data into high‑impact analytical insights that directly shape strategy, performance and decision‑making across the business.
This leader will act as the organisation’s
enterprise analytics authority
— setting the vision, operating model and standards for how data is governed, analysed and exploited. They will have a decisive voice in
what analytics platforms, AI capabilities and tooling are adopted , ensuring investments translate into tangible business outcomes rather than experimentation for its own sake.
From a data perspective, the role will lead the remediation, integration and enrichment of critical enterprise datasets, with particular focus on
customer and CRM data, commercial performance data, and finance data . The emphasis is on
trustworthy, well‑governed data that can be turned into actionable analytical results at scale .
From an AI perspective (which is about 20% of the role), the role will own the prioritisation and delivery of AI initiatives that augment analytics, automation and decision intelligence. This includes shaping the company’s AI roadmap, defining where advanced analytics, machine learning and generative AI genuinely add value, and establishing the governance and partnerships needed to deploy AI responsibly at enterprise scale.
The role works closely with IT, Finance, Commercial, Legal, HR and Compliance to ensure data and AI are embedded into core business processes in a way that is secure, ethical and regulatory‑compliant.
Key Responsibilities Enterprise Analytics Strategy & Execution
Define and lead the enterprise data, analytics and AI strategy, aligned to business and financial objectives
Drive remediation, integration and enrichment of core data assets across
customer & CRM, commercial and finance domains
Build a scalable analytics ecosystem that enables advanced reporting, insight generation, predictive analytics and decision support
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence executive decisions and operational performance
Establish analytics as a core business capability, embedded into planning, forecasting, customer strategy and performance management
Ensure a robust, scalable data architecture capable of supporting high‑demand analytics, integrations and automation
Own key decisions on analytics platforms, AI tooling and data technologies across the organisation
Lead the development and deployment of analytics, data engineering and AI solutions that deliver measurable value
Identify, prioritise and govern high‑impact analytics and AI use cases, with a clear ROI mindset
Knowledge, Experience & Technical Capability
Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics or a related field
8+ years’ experience in analytics, data science or AI, with
significant experience running an enterprise data & analytics function
Proven track record of delivering large‑scale data remediation and analytics transformation programmes
Deep experience working with
customer, CRM, commercial and financial data
in complex organisations
Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, financial controls and regulatory requirements
Expertise in analytics, statistical modelling, machine learning and data‑driven decision frameworks
Hands‑on experience with cloud data and analytics platforms (AWS and/or Azure preferred)
Ability to clearly articulate analytical insights and influence decision‑making at executive level
Demonstrated success translating analytics and AI into measurable business outcomes
Experience leading organisational change and building data‑driven cultures
Strong ethical judgement and commitment to responsible, transparent AI
