In this role, you will be instrumental in the maintenance and smooth operation of our warehouse machinery and systems. Your duties will include performing routine checks, conducting preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all equipment is functioning optimally to support our logistics operations. A strong understanding of warehouse mechanics and a commitment to adhering to strict safety protocols are essential. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure efficient workflow and minimize downtime. We provide a supportive environment and opportunities for professional development. This is a key position for ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our distribution center. We expect all technicians to diligently use PPE .
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on warehouse equipment (e.g., conveyor belts, forklifts, palletizers).
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues as they arise.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all company and regulatory safety standards.
- Operate equipment safely when needed for testing or repair purposes.
- Collaborate with the warehouse management team to identify and address potential equipment failures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics or electrical systems is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of various warehouse equipment and machinery used in logistics .
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
- Commitment to upholding strict safety procedures and using appropriate PPE .
- Physical ability to stand, bend, crawl, and perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
