We are looking for an experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our bustling warehouse in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of goods within our distribution center. You will operate a reach truck to transport, stack, and retrieve materials at various heights, playing a critical role in our daily warehouse operations. This role requires precision, speed, and a strong commitment to workplace Safety . Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a reach truck to move, load, unload, and stack merchandise.
- Perform pre-operation checks on the reach truck to ensure it is in good working order.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Accurately pick and place pallets in racking systems at specified heights.
- Conduct regular inspections of racking and stored inventory for damage or safety hazards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including strict Safety regulations.
- Wear all required PPE , including safety shoes, vests, and any other designated gear.
- Understand and follow load limits and operating procedures for the reach truck.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as order picking or packing, when not operating the reach truck.
- Demonstrated ability in Lifting and maneuvering heavy loads with the reach truck.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and productivity.
- Basic maintenance and charging of the reach truck battery.
