The purpose of this role is to convert group enquiries for the Maybourne Hotel Group properties. This is an important role as it generates key revenue for Maybourne Hotel Group in both accommodation and events. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: Ensure all telephone calls are answered quickly and efficiently within the required timeframe as per MHG Standards of Service. In conjunction with other administrative colleagues, ensure the telephones are adequately covered from 9.00 am to 6.00pm. Qualify leads from varying sources to ascertain business potential for groups and events at all four MHG properties. Provide timely group proposals based upon qualification information and venue suitability. Negotiate with the client to ensure we are competitive with the competitive set and convert group business. Work with the Sales Team to identify potential sources of groups and events business by analysing evidence of buyer activity in competitor hotels, trade directories and following up referred sales leads as required. Ensure information is entered in to Delphi correctly and within company standards. Enter notes, contacts and correspondences to ensure activities are tracked. Arrange site inspections for the Account Managers and attend in person when required. Issue contracts upon successful negotiation, this includes calculating deposits and understanding cancellation policies. Pro-actively follow up on all tentative bookings, keeping the Director of Group Sales and Sales/Account Manager informed as to the progress of all bookings. To provide accurate and detailed handover documents to the relevant events team upon signature of the contract. Who thrives here?
