Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Communications in Boca Raton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. In this role, you will help to deter incidents through strong awareness, clear communication, and dependable service. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.38 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed05:30 PM - 09:30 PMSat05:30 AM - 05:30 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor phones, radios, alarms, and/or other communication systems to receive calls for service and relay information to on-site personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Document incidents, routine activity, and/or service requests in dispatch logs and reports, helping to maintain accurate records for the location.
  • Coordinate communication between residents, visitors, vendors, and/or responding personnel regarding access concerns, disturbances, maintenance-related issues, and other security-related matters.
  • Support regular and random patrol activity by dispatching personnel as needed, tracking officer status, and communicating updates about incidents around the property and perimeter.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess 2 or more years of law enforcement, corrections and/or military experience.
  • Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice
  • Possess an unarmed guard card is required.
  • Possess an armed guard card is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
