Position Embedded Software Engineer – Level 3 on the Glide Phase Interphase Program (GPI), located in Chandler, AZ. 100% onsite; telecommuting is not accommodated. Responsibilities Design, develop, document, test and debug application software and systems with logical and mathematical solutions. Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers in planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Prepare operating instructions; design and develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensure software standards are met. Use object‑oriented C/C++ in a Linux environment. Develop, debug, and test embedded real‑time software. Work with real‑time operating systems such as VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto Linux, or equivalent RTOS. Engage in the full software development lifecycle. Display excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 1 year of professional experience. Considerable additional experience may substitute for formal degree. Must be a U.S. citizen with an active, in‑scope Secret level clearance at time of application. Preferred Qualifications Experience with PowerPC, ARM, and/or RISC‑V architecture. Experience with design, integration, and testing in real‑time computer‑in‑loop and hardware‑in‑loop test laboratories. Experience developing interfaces to support system hardware integration efforts. Experience with CI/CD such as Jenkins or GitLab CI. Active DoD Top Secret security clearance investigated within the last 5 years. Compensation Primary Level Salary Range: $95,300.00 – $142,900.00. Compensation is based on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and market conditions. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, long‑term incentives for senior positions, and eligibility for a variety of benefits. Benefits and Schedule Comprehensive Total Rewards package including health, life, disability, savings plans, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off for vacation and personal business. Workers follow a 9/80 schedule: 9 hours per day, Monday‑Thursday; 8 hours on every other Friday with alternate Fridays off.
