Contracts Manager Location: Wexford Salary/Package: Competitive base salary + pension + car or car allowance + bonus Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Our client, a leading and highly respected principal contractor, is seeking an experienced and drivenContracts Manager to join their project management team.

This is a brilliant opportunity to lead high-value, complex construction projects while actively influencing onsite safety culture and project delivery standards.
The Role Reporting directly to the Project and Construction Directors, you will take full ownership of project objectives from pre-tender through to successful delivery.
You will lead the site team, manage sub-contractors, and coordinate diverse professional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, with the highest quality, and strictly within budget.
A core focus of this role isSafety Leadership.
As a senior team member, you will foster an environment where safety is ingrained in every aspect of the buildprioritising safe practices above productivity, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring a culture where safety is a shared value for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Delivery: Agree on project objectives, attend pre-tender/handover meetings, and manage construction programming for highly efficient site operations.
Financial Control: Oversee accounting, costing, and billing; produce progress reports, forecasts, and review Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) monthly to implement corrective actions.
Risk & Quality Assurance: Implement risk management processes, maintain the risk register, and ensure rigorous QA documentation is produced and upheld.
Team & Sub-contractor Management: Lead, coordinate, and monitor sub-contractors and site teams to ensure strict compliance with company policies and legal obligations.
Stakeholder Relations: Represent the clients interests with the highest professionalism, lead progress meetings, and ensure works minimise community impact.
Health & Safety Advocacy: Model safe behavior, allocate safety responsibilities in line with company safety statements, and provide necessary training to onsite teams.
Key Requirements Education: A degree in Civil Engineeringanda third-level qualification in Construction Management.
Professional Standing: Active membership in a recognized professional body.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar Project Manager role within the construction sector.
Track Record: Proven history of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Leadership: Exceptional communication skills with a demonstrated ability to champion and influence a robust health and safety culture onsite.
