Build and scale utility distributor network across US High-visibility role reporting directly to U.S. CEO About Our Client
Our client is a global manufacturer within the high-voltage electrical infrastructure and power transmission space, supporting utility, grid modernization, and energy distribution applications across North America, LATAM, Europe, and Asia.
With nearly a century of industry experience, the organization manufactures highly engineered electrical transmission and insulation components used across critical utility infrastructure projects worldwide. The business is continuing to expand its North American commercial footprint and is investing heavily in building out a scalable distributor-driven sales organization across the utility market.
The company operates globally with substantial engineering and manufacturing resources and supplies products supporting some of the world's largest power transmission and utility infrastructure programs. Their product portfolio includes advanced insulation technologies, cable-related products, and utility hardware solutions supporting increasingly demanding grid and power requirements.
This position represents a highly visible opportunity to build and lead the North American distributor channel strategy while helping shape long-term commercial growth initiatives across the region.
Job Description
Develop and execute the North American distributor sales strategy across the utility and electrical infrastructure markets Build, lead, and mentor a growing commercial organization focused on distributor-driven growth and utility market penetration Drive revenue growth through strategic management of key distributor relationships including national and regional channel partners Oversee and support with building out the US Sales Distribution team. Serve as a player coach. Expand market presence across utility, transmission, and electrical infrastructure accounts throughout the U.S. and broader North American region Collaborate closely with executive leadership to establish scalable go-to-market strategies and long-term commercial growth plans Identify and develop opportunities for adjacent product expansion aligned to distributor and utility purchasing models Lead commercial efforts supporting utility-approved vendor list (AVL) positioning and specification-driven sales processes Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and global leadership teams to support product positioning, customer requirements, and market expansion Develop territory forecasts, channel growth strategies, and commercial performance metrics aligned with company objectives Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to support strategic planning and product development initiatives Support strategic customer meetings, distributor engagement, industry events, and utility relationship development across North America Operate in a highly visible leadership role with significant influence on the future direction of the North American business MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
7+ years of proven sales distribution experience within the power utility, electrical infrastructure, transmission, or related industrial sectors Strong background managing or developing distributor and channel partner networks across North America Experience selling into utility markets and navigating specification-driven or approved vendor list (AVL) sales environments Knowledge of utility transmission and distribution products such as line hardware, cable accessories, surge protection, connectors, insulation products, or related electrical infrastructure solutions preferred Track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market share through distributor-led sales strategies Experience working with large national or regional distributors within the electrical or utility markets preferred Strong leadership capabilities with experience building teams, developing sales strategy, and driving commercial execution Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on in customer and channel development efforts Excellent communication, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills Ability to travel throughout North America as needed Must provide proof of U.S. work authorization to comply with applicable employment and trade regulations What's on Offer
