We are a sporting goods retailer with over 250 locations throughout the Midwest. Due to growth and expansion, we need to add a Floor Supervisor to our fast-paced Distribution Center Team located in Marion, IN. This position is responsible for leading their team in achieving productivity goals while maintaining a positive work environment.
Responsibilities- Reviews reports to determine daily department staffing levels.
- Promotes and supports safety programs to reduce or eliminate employee injuries.
- Plans daily production goals.
- Maintains positive employee relations and records on a daily basis.
- Conducts employee counseling, reviews and evaluations.
- Conducts weekly and monthly staffing meetings with Operations Managers.
- Utilizes Standard Operating Procedures to correct and coach associates.
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of specific functions within a distribution center.
- Excellent employee relations skills.
- Good organization and prioritization skills.
- Acute attention to detail.
Experience:
- Must have 2 years' experience successfully supervising a department within a large distribution center environment.
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred.
