Contract Type: W2; Duration: 6+ Months; Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid); Pay Range: $40-$43 per hour on W2
Job Summary We are seeking a Quality Assurance professional with 2-5 years of experience, ideally within the Gaming/Animation industry. The role involves developing and maintaining test methodologies, writing test specifications and scripts, and working closely with development teams to ensure product quality. A passion for web technologies and strong problem‑solving skills is essential. Experience with animation software and scripting languages is highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
Thoroughly understand and apply test methodology and bug life cycles.
Write and maintain test specifications and scripts.
Interpret project specifications and work closely with development teams.
Utilize testing tools for the product area.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of at least one core operating system.
Adapt to new tasks and apply good problem‑solving and diagnostic skills.
Develop test automation frameworks and systems.
Work effectively in a Scrum team or Agile environment, potentially with remote teams.
Must‑Have Skills
Thorough understanding of test methodology and bug life cycle.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, Perl, Python, Shell).
Ability to write and maintain test specs and scripts.
Ability to interpret project specifications.
Good time management skills.
Superior communication skills (written and verbal, fluent in English).
Ability to use testing tools.
Advanced knowledge of one core operating system.
Ability to take on new tasks and good problem‑solving/diagnostic skills.
Good knowledge of software testing fundamentals and common testing methodologies.
Experience with web technologies.
Familiarity with automated testing tools.
Experience in developing test automation frameworks and systems.
Experience with Java, ActionScript, JavaScript, or Python.
Industry Experience
Gaming/Animation industry experience is an added advantage.
