Lead small groups in teaching specific nursing assistant skills Provide evaluation of both skills and clinical competencies Presence at clinicals is required which are currently being held in Newburyport, MA. Skills Labs are currently being held on NECC Lawrence Campus. Assist in both the skills lab and clinical settings, supporting students' learning in small groups. Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: NOTE: Unless otherwise noted, all required qualifications must be met by date of hire.
Current MA state RN or LPN licensure Minimum two (2) years' experience as a nurse with a minimum of one (1) year experience working in a long-term care facility CPR certification required Comfortable with teaching Nursing Assistant competencies in the laboratory and clinical setting. Technical knowledge and expertise in long-term care Excellent verbal and written communications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
At least one (1) year of experience in lesson planning, lesson delivery, student evaluation and remediation in a health care setting as an in-service coordinator, staff educator, or other health personnel instructor; or the equivalent of 24 contact hours in programs that meet continuing education standards Adult Education experience Flexibility to work daytime, evening, and weekend shifts Bilingual (Spanish/English) Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: Applicants who do not meet the qualifications as noted above are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience has prepared them with the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required for the responsibilities of this position.
