The Design and Release Engineer is responsible for managing the entire life cycle of their respective components and sub-assemblies including defining requirements, conceptual design, supplier sourcing, manufacturing, validation and industrialization. They will work within a Transmission, Driveline and EDM Gear Reducers Organization Center of Excellence (COE) for torque transfer components (gears, splines, shafts, bearings, etc.).
Responsibilities include:
Design and release responsible for key components for torque transfer components Lead the change management process for their respective components. Ensure key components incorporate design best practices, lessons learned, and continuous improvements are followed and integrated into product design release process Lead technical infrastructure evolution for key components including documentation, specifications, requirements definitions and drawing signoffs.
