Cyber Security Analyst Expert Location: Scott County, IL (Scott AFB). Full‑time. Requires current Secret clearance and ability to obtain Secret clearance. US citizenship required.
Responsibilities
Serve as the principal technical advisor and subject‑matter expert for system categorization, security controls selection, implementation, assessment, and Authorization to Operate (ATO) for approved cybersecurity tools.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Required Experience : 12+ years progressive enterprise engineering and management experience.
Preferred Skills :
Design, development, direction, and implementation of enterprise network cyber‑defense capabilities to prevent sophisticated threats.
Proficient in layered defense and zero‑trust technologies.
Understanding of network threat lifecycle, attack vectors, and exploitation methods.
Knowledge of computer network theory, IT standards, and the OSI model.
Experience with web content filters, email security, IDS/IPS, HBSS, SEIM, DNS security, log and network monitoring, packet capture, proxies, firewalls, anti‑virus, and ACLs.
Certifications : CISSP (or equivalent).
Security Clearance : Active DoD Secret clearance.
Additional Information
Salary Range: $166,280 – $224,968 (based on experience, location, and contractual factors).
Weekly Hours: 40.
Travel: Less than 10%.
Telecommuting: Onsite only.
Work Location: USA IL Scott AFB.
