Lead and facilitate discovery workshops with client business stakeholders, process owners, and executives — from initial scoping sessions through detailed requirements gathering Apply structured facilitation techniques to surface current-state pain points, future-state objectives, and prioritized business outcomes Document business processes, workflows, and system interactions using process maps, swim lane diagrams, and capability models Identify and resolve conflicting requirements across stakeholder groups with confidence and diplomacy Develop and maintain a comprehensive business requirements document (BRD) and functional specifications aligned to the Salesforce delivery model User Stories & Backlog Management Translate business requirements into well-structured, developer-ready user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria Own and manage the product backlog in partnership with the project manager and product owner — grooming, prioritizing, and sequencing stories across sprints Write epics, features, and stories at the appropriate level of granularity for Agile delivery Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives as a core team member Maintain traceability between business requirements and delivered functionality throughout the program Salesforce Configuration Take hands-on ownership of declarative Salesforce configuration — fields, objects, page layouts, record types, validation rules, flows, approval processes, and permission sets Configure Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and other relevant clouds based on approved design documentation Build and validate Salesforce flows — screen flows, record-triggered flows, scheduled flows, and auto launched flows — to automate business processes Collaborate with architects and developers to define the boundary between configuration and code, and ensure the configuration layer is clean, scalable, and documented Support data migration activities — data mapping, transformation rules, and validation of migrated records Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with client business stakeholders throughout the engagement Produce clear, well-structured documentation — meeting notes, decision logs, open issues trackers, and status updates Present requirements, designs, and solution walkthroughs to business and technical audiences with equal confidence Support change management activities — training materials, process documentation, and user guides aligned to the delivered solution Practice Contribution Contribute to UST's Salesforce BA practice — developing reusable workshop frameworks, user story templates, and configuration checklists Support pre-sales efforts with requirements scoping, estimation input, and solution narrative development Mentor junior BAs and analysts on the delivery team
Experience:
6+ years of Salesforce Business Analyst experience on enterprise implementations Proven track record leading discovery workshops and requirements sessions with senior business stakeholders Deep hands-on experience with Salesforce declarative configuration — flows, validation rules, page layouts, record types, permission sets Strong Agile delivery experience — writing user stories, managing backlogs, and working within sprint-based delivery teams Experience across multiple Salesforce clouds — Sales Cloud and Service Cloud at minimum; additional clouds a plus Prior consulting or professional services experience strongly preferred — comfort managing multiple stakeholders and navigating ambiguity
Platform Knowledge:
Salesforce core platform: objects, fields, relationships, page layouts, record types, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules Salesforce Flow: screen flows, record-triggered flows, scheduled flows, sub flows, and flow best practices Salesforce reporting and dashboards — building business-facing reports and driving adoption Agile/Scrum tooling: Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent for backlog and sprint management Data concepts: data models, data mapping, import/export tools (Data Loader, Data Import Wizard) Working knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud — and ideally one or more of: Health Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud Facilitation & Analytical Skills Expert workshop facilitation — able to manage large, cross-functional groups and keep sessions focused and productive Strong process analysis skills — able to map current-state workflows, identify inefficiencies, and design future-state solutions Structured thinker — able to take complex, unstructured input and turn it into clear, prioritized, actionable requirements Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture — knows when to go deep and when to move forward Certifications — Required Salesforce Certified Administrator Salesforce Certified Business Analyst Certifications — Preferred Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant or Service Cloud Consultant Salesforce Certified Associate or Platform App Builder Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification
