Position Details Primary City/State: Virtual – Arizona Category: IT Systems Administration | Shift: Day | Department: IT Applications and Informatics | Hybrid | Must reside in Arizona | Epic Healthy Planet/Compass Rose certification Preferred Job Summary Under the direction of Leadership, the IT Applications Analyst is responsible for empowering the community through continuous development, deployment, and support of vendor proprietary enterprise application software. The role supports software necessary to run clinical, financial, or business systems within a large integrated health system, analyzes existing and proposed vendor supplied software functionality to ensure compliance with current health system workflow processes, collaborates with business operations to define system requirements, and delivers innovative solutions that meet customers’ needs. Essential Functions Diagnose and troubleshoot low to moderate complexity end‑user issues, workflow problems, and enhancement requests for departmental users, medical staff, stakeholders, management, and leadership. Contribute to technical and workflow root‑cause analysis. Analyze business operations related to design decisions, prioritize, and implement system changes. Perform in‑depth workflow, data collection, and report analysis with minimal assistance. Design, test, implement, and support files and systems within assigned products and scope. Populate tables and databases for domains with multiple owners, with support from Vendor and IT staff. Collaborate to eliminate potential negative impact on customers and patients. Maintain application system build and database standards, including updates to master files, profiles, dictionaries, and other databases. Recommend standardized naming, numbering, and security conventions. Communicate effectively (written and oral) across all levels of the organization. Develop working relationships with HonorHealth staff and vendor support personnel. Prioritize and manage workload with minimal assistance, adjusting priorities based on business needs. Travel to any/all HonorHealth and affiliated sites as required. Assist with change management, project management, and documentation policies and standards, and may lead low to moderate complexity projects. Use IT Project Management tools and follow change‑management procedures for testing, documentation, and communication of system changes. Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with HonorHealth policies, procedures, mission, vision, and values. Education Associates degree or 2 years of work‑related experience in Healthcare, Business, Information Systems (IS), Computer Science, or related field is required. Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business, Information Systems (IS), Computer Science, or related field is required; preferred. Experience 3 years of Healthcare, consulting, or IT experience demonstrating an advanced understanding of deployment and development of application software for healthcare systems (required). 5 years of Healthcare, consulting, or IT experience demonstrating an advanced understanding of deployment and development of application software for healthcare systems (required). Preferred additional experience and advanced knowledge. Licenses and Certifications Required: Epic Certification – certificate, training, or certification in the assigned application. Certification or licensure for the clinical, revenue cycle, or business unit that the primary application supports. Preferred: Additional Epic certifications as applicable.
