Description Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Experimentation Lab (X‑LAB), is engineering, developing and integrating new capability for the Missile Defense System that currently protects the United States and its allies. The team consists of many small agile teams that work together in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment. Our team is also responsible for tasks such as sensor/weapon integration, algorithm development, user interface development, automated testing, cyber security, and enhancing other critical, leading‑edge missile defense technologies.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and deploy sophisticated network architectures that support the C2BMC X‑Lab Test Program.
Translate test schedules into actionable network requirements and configure hardware and software components accordingly.
Implement, troubleshoot, and maintain the lab’s network infrastructure in both development and operational environments.
Provide on‑site and remote support to keep experiments on track and secure.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists to enable rapid, reliable testing of command‑and‑control capabilities.
Qualifications
Active Final SECRET clearance required prior to starting.
Must possess a DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
Solid understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, and routing protocols BGP and OSPF.
Firewall configuration and management experience with Juniper firewalls.
Proven experience with the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of networking equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
Experience with UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs.
Understanding of standard DoD security practices such as STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts.
Desired Skills
Hands‑on experience with multi‑vendor switching/routing (Juniper), WAN optimizers, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment.
Working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and assessment of DoD RMF compliance.
Ability to collaborate in team environments and operate independently on large field projects.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, including creating presentations and diagrams.
Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance at the Secret level; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
