We are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead our operations at the facility based in Melrose Park, IL.
Work hours for this role:
- A Crew - Day Shifts 6 AM to 6 PM - Week 1 Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday / Week 2 Sunday Monday Tuesday
- B Crew - Day Shifts 6 AM to 6 PM - Week 1 Thursday Friday Saturday / Week 2 Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday
- C Crew - Night Shifts 6 PM to 6 AM - Week 1 Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday / Week 2 Sunday Monday Tuesday
- D Crew - Night Shifts 6 PM to 6 AM - Week 1 Thursday Friday Saturday / Week 2 Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday
How you will contribute:
- Plan, coordinate work, train, motivate, monitor and evaluate performance of team members; ensure their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials.
- Monitor and measure team member performance for accuracy and document on daily production metrics.
- Identify and eliminate safety and housekeeping hazards to minimize workplace accidents.
- Ensure compliance of employees to processes, work instructions, standard work and work elements.
- Liaise with materials department to ensure on time receipt and shipment of material.
- Other duties as assigned.
HS Diploma/GED required. Experience supervising in an Automotive, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain/Logistics facility. Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Experience and or training regarding the Occupational Health & Safety, 5S, Lean Methodologies preferred. Quality systems knowledge - to a reasonable level be able to monitor staff performance and costs within the department (including, but not limited to: time-keeping, quality, productivity, etc.)
