  • This role is a part of our Global People Team within the People Division.
  • As a HR Generalist you will collaborate with peers, People Business Partners, and our Centers of Excellence (COE’s) across the People Team to propel the organization forward.
  • You will play a pivotal role in supporting our Inflight department which includes our Flight Attendants!
What you'll do

  • Support leaders of the Inflight Performance Team in conducting thorough, timely and consistent team member relations investigations.
  • Provide guidance to leaders on performance management, career development, and progressive discipline for both represented and non-represented team members.
  • Serve as a trusted resource to support mediation and resolution of HR-related queries and concerns from team members.
  • Leverage data and workforce metrics to proactively identify trends and recommends improvements.
  • Work closely with the People Business Partner on strategic imperatives: talent strategy, learning and development, ways to optimize performance and build a culture of engagement.
  • Partners with ADA team to evaluate accommodation requests and guide leaders on appropriate next steps.
  • Support leaders with the talent management cycle including recruiting activities, onboarding plan support and offboarding. 
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management or related field or equivalent experience/ training
  • 3 years of human resources experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional maturity to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Preferred Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience  

  • Familiar with state and federal employment laws including but not limited to: FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRB, Title VII, etc.
  • PHR/SPHR certification
  • Experience in providing guidance and counsel to leaders
  • Strong business and HR acumen
  • Experience reporting, analyzing, interpreting, and critical thinking
  • Experience understanding the logistics of Collective Bargaining Agreements

Skills, Licenses, and Certifications

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and be highly self-motivated
  • Strong initiative and high judgment abilities / skills
