The
QA/QC Site Supervisor
plays a critical leadership role supporting some of the nation's most important nuclear and national defense initiatives, including Naval Reactors and Department of Energy projects that directly supports U.S. National Security. This position leads site quality operations, ensuring all work is executed to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and technical excellence in highly regulated industrial environments.
Responsibilities include overseeing onsite inspectors, directing field inspection activities, and managing quality documentation and coordination between Jamar, subcontractors, clients, and government representatives. This role serves as a key liaison between project teams, customers, and regulatory agencies, helping drive project success while maintaining strict adherence to company, client, and nuclear quality requirements under ISO 9001.
The position requires relocation to project sites for multi-year assignments across the country and offers the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical infrastructure supporting national security and advanced energy operations. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to thrive in fast-paced field environments while promoting a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: To successfully perform this role, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements outlined below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the position. Plan, schedule, and supervise field inspection activities on industrial project sites. Maintain a consistent presence on job sites to observe work, verify compliance, and proactively identify potential issues. Monitor adherence to safety practices as they relate to quality, including proper procedures and the safe execution of testing and inspection activities. Ensure inspections are completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, approved procedures, quality standards, and applicable codes and regulations. Interpret technical requirements, drawings, and specifications to support and guide inspection activities. Communicate quality expectations, findings, and requirements clearly and professionally. Verify that materials, methods, and workmanship comply with contract and regulatory requirements. Provide quality-related leadership, guidance, and support to project managers, supervisors, and field teams; promote a strong quality culture and reinforce adherence to QA/QC processes and procedures. Serve as a primary point of contact for quality and inspection matters between project teams, customers, and regulatory representatives. Escalate noncompliant or unsafe conditions and partner with site leadership to resolve them. Maintain organized quality documentation for audits, client reviews, and regulatory inspections. Ensure inspection reports, checklists, and test records are completed accurately and on time. Track, report, and identify trends related to quality metrics, nonconformances, and corrective actions. Identify, document, and investigate quality issues and nonconforming work; recommend corrective and preventive actions and verify their implementation. Contribute to lessons learned and the sharing of best practices across projects and locations. Coach and mentor field inspectors and project personnel on quality and inspection requirements. Support onboarding and ongoing training related to QA/QC procedures, documentation, and regulatory standards. Represent the company professionally in interactions with clients, regulators, and partners. Ensure all QA/QC activities are conducted in a manner consistent with the company's values, mission, and ethical standards. Actively participate in programs, policies, and initiatives designed to support the overall success of the company. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field of study,

four years or more of industrial or commercial related experience. Five or more years of experience as a supervisor or project leader in an industrial, manufacturing, or related field is required, along with experience in ISO9001 quality management or equivalent systems. AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), or ability to obtain for the role. Working knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, and specifications, with the ability to read, interpret, and apply technical documents and symbols. Professional working knowledge of NDE practices, welding processes, and materials, including NQA-1 and ASME codes such as B31.3, B31.5, and B31.8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Word, Excel, Project, and SharePoint. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to schedule and coordinate projects to meet established deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong commitment to customer service. Ability to successfully pass background checks for Department of Energy, federal, and military facilities. Other Details:
This position will report in person to the project site in
Idaho Falls, ID . Frequent local, regional, and national travel will be required based on project and business needs. Initial travel to the company's headquarters in
Duluth, MN
