Job Summary The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at Clayton State University invites applications for a second Tenure Track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2026. Please note this is a 2nd Tenure Track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2026 from the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology. You must apply for each position separately to be considered for each position.
Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses offered by the Department.
Advise students and supervise undergraduate and graduate research.
Participate in development of curriculum and new programs.
Support the department, college, university, and community through services such as committees, special projects, and accreditation efforts.
Engage in scholarly activities and develop a dynamic, independent, externally funded research program in an area of computer science or computer engineering.
Participate in continuing professional development related to the discipline.
Commit to teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in computer science to a student body.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field.
Genuine commitment to teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in computer science.
Experience teaching and supervising undergraduate and graduate research in a computer science area.
Expected to develop a dynamic, independent, externally funded research program in an area of computer science.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong background in one or more of the areas of Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or industry credentials or certification.
