About the Role As an Oncology Sales Representative, you will engage with oncology customers in the Syracuse, NY territory to educate stakeholders about our products, achieve or exceed assigned sales goals, and build lasting relationships. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with territory teammates to attain or exceed sales goals. Meet with key stakeholders to understand practice structure, business model, and influencers; build trust and uncover customer needs. Use approved messaging to communicate a compelling, patient‑centered rationale for our oncology products. Demonstrate knowledge of oncology staging, treatment options, pathways, and guidelines, and their impact on patients. Analyze trends and patterns in a complex buying environment, including distribution channels such as wholesalers, specialty pharmacies, and GPO contracts. Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term plans in partnership with the local team and district manager (Oncology Customer Team Leader). Ask insightful questions to identify customer priorities and support relevant conversations about our product portfolio. Ensure a consistent customer experience across divisions and functional areas and share key insights with the customer team. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of sales experience, or high‑school diploma and at least 8 years of equivalent experience. Professional sales experience, healthcare or scientific experience with oncology expertise, marketing experience, or military experience (equivalent). Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive; travel requirement of 10‑15% with overnight stays. Residency within or near the Syracuse district. Preferred Experience & Skills 2+ years in oncology field‑based sales, selling therapies to oncology customers. Oncology field‑sales or clinical oncology experience. Documented history of strong sales or marketing performance in oncology clinical roles. Account management, adaptability, CRM, data analysis, interpersonal relationships, lead generation, market analysis, oncology sales, order processing, product knowledge, revenue generation, sales forecasting, reporting, training, strategic planning. Other Requirements Field‑based sales position; travel to customer sites and national conferences. Ability to travel nationwide and attend industry conferences.
