The candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance and support of applications for the Pricing business unit. This role offers the opportunity to participate in the entire software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and support pricing applications using HTML5, JavaScript, CSS and Sencha ExtJS.
Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Participate in defining and refining software development procedures.
Assist in writing automated test cases using JUnit and other testing tools.
Work well in a team environment and communicate effectively.
Provide rotational off‑hours on‑call support.
Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or significant relevant work experience.
3+ years of experience with HTML5; highly prefer experience with Sencha ExtJS.
5+ years of experience in JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
5+ years of experience in object‑oriented software development using Java, Java EE, multi‑core and multi‑threaded architectures.
Experience with IBM WAS, Liberty, Web Development, UNIX shell scripting, Core Spring, Spring Integration, EJBs, JMS, Web Services and IBM WebSphere.
Experience deploying with Eclipse and WebSphere or other application development environments.
Experience with SQL and Oracle.
Knowledge of UI design patterns.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience with Subversion, GitHub, Rally, agile/iterative development, Hudson, Jenkins and test‑driven development is a plus.
