Title: Business Systems Administrator
Shift: First Shift (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Salary: $60,000 to $75,000 per year
Who we are: We are a rapidly growing, mid-sized manufacturing company with multiple facilities across North America. We specialize in producing innovative commercial and industrial products and are currently investing heavily in our digital infrastructure. As our operations expand, we are embarking on a major cloud-based ERP implementation to unify our financial, supply chain, and production workflows.
Business Systems Administrator Role: The Business Systems Administrator serves as the primary internal super-user and technical expert responsible for configuring, maintaining, and supporting the company's new cloud ERP and connected business software. This position exists to optimize software workflows, lead user training, and bridge the gap between corporate business processes and technical systems to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
Business Systems Administrator Responsibilities:
Administer and configure the company's core cloud ERP platform and integrated business applications
Act as the primary internal point of contact to troubleshoot software issues, answer user questions, and resolve support tickets
Collaborate with executive leadership, operational users, and external software consultants to design and implement efficient system configurations
Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs, user guides, and onboarding documentation for all team members
Format, cleanse, and convert legacy operational data to facilitate seamless software data imports and validation phases
Monitor and maintain system access controls by managing user accounts, security roles, permissions, and internal audit rules
Ensure reliable data integrations and automated workflows between the main ERP software and specialized shop‑floor operations programs
Maintain data accuracy and system integrity across platforms by executing routine data hygiene workflows and system cleanups
Partner with cross‑functional leadership to evaluate system capabilities and explore future technical improvements, including AI integrations
Generate custom operational reports, interactive dashboards, and business intelligence views to support data‑driven decision‑making
Business Systems Administrator Reporting Relationships: The Business Systems Administrator reports directly to the corporate executive leadership team. This role operates as an individual contributor and does not have any direct reports.
About You:
Possess 2 to 5+ years of hands‑on experience administering, configuring, or supporting modern mid‑market cloud ERP applications
Demonstrate direct experience participating in or assisting with a full‑cycle software implementation or system migration project
Exhibit a highly detail‑oriented technical skillset paired with a strong professional curiosity to master complex software workflows
Maintain exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to comfortably manage change management across multi‑departmental teams
Display a strong professional backbone with the ability to confidently evaluate system requests, enforce data protocols, and say "no" when necessary to protect system rules
Show resourcefulness in isolating technical issues and successfully coordinating resolutions with external software vendors and support groups
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or possess equivalent professional technical experience
Demonstrate a basic understanding of core manufacturing or business concepts such as finance, supply chain, or inventory control workflows
Express flexibility and willingness to travel occasionally between North American facility locations to support localized operational rollouts
Next Steps: If you are a detail‑oriented problem solver who possesses a strong backbone for change management and a passion for modern business technology, we would like to hear from you.
Additional Information: Equal Opportunity Employer: We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions: This position is primarily an on‑site office role based at our manufacturing facility. It requires extended periods of sitting at a desk, operating a computer, and walking out to production areas to shadow workflows and capture system constraints. Candidates must possess standard documentation/identification required for occasional cross‑border business travel.
