Position Summary Clinical Applications Analyst 1 – Epic Resolute Hospital Billing. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for day‑to‑day communication, troubleshooting, software design, build and testing for the Epic Hospital Billing system known as Resolute. The primary role involves researching and seeking solutions to problems, contributing to improved workflow and processes. The analyst works with other analysts to support the Epic system and end users to ensure technology is optimized for best enhanced work processes and overall patient care.
Responsibilities
Planning, designing, building, testing and implementing information systems that support and enhance revenue cycle practices.
Independently evaluating systems, analyzing complex issues and problems, testing data and assisting customers in reaching resolution(s).
Understanding core functions for the billing office and overall Revenue Cycle Management.
Familiarity with regulations and compliance issues surrounding billing processes.
Participating and leading testing of module updates, enhancements, custom programming and new releases.
Providing ongoing maintenance and support for assigned applications with little to no assistance.
Training physicians, nurses and other staff on new computer systems, application upgrades and new functionality.
Administering competencies following training sessions.
Utilizing issue tracking software to document contact with customers and resolutions of issues.
Managing IS related and non‑IS related projects with limited oversight.
Working effectively with team members, maintaining strong communication skills and a professional demeanor at all times.
Experience
Relevant healthcare IT, Revenue Cycle or Clinical experience; previous teaching/training and project management is a plus.
Epic certification required, or experience in the Epic billing module known as Resolute (certification required within 6 months from employment).
Solid comprehension of billing practices and the ability to work with patients and payers to resolve issues.
Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external contacts.
Strong skills in PC desktop applications such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work flexible schedules to meet job requirements; requires occasional after‑hours support.
Requirements
Hybrid position; must be willing to work in the office two days a week.
Bachelor's or Associate Degree, or 1 to 3 years of equivalent experience.
LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC; may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.
Preferred
Bachelor's/Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Information, Business Administration, Accounting or other related field.
