Job Description: The Nursing Department invites applications to teach in OCC's CNA workforce program.
Major responsibilities include teaching clinical instruction and evaluation, lab instruction and evaluation; student mentoring and ensuring strengthening of knowledge, skills and competencies The successful candidate will:
Use appropriate technology to deliver and enhance learning.
Be innovative in the presentation of hands-on learning activities that achieve learning outcomes. Assess learning outcomes and provide timely feedback.
Be responsive to student questions and available for student support; Demonstrate insight and encouragement in working with diverse student populations, especially students traditionally underrepresented in higher education;
Be accountable to meet the needs of the Department and the College, including timely submission of grades and other required materials. Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Workforce position (CNA):
Current NYS RN registration and CPR certification. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and another language will be considered. Additional Information: Rate of pay is $45.00/hour. This position is not eligible for benefits. This position will begin in March, 2025.

Certification to teach Nurse Aide or Practical Nursing or One year of experience teaching nurse aides in a residential health care facility or One year of experience teaching nursing or nursing related programs to adults in an academic setting approved by the Commissioner of Education or Completion of the State approved professionally recognized course in teaching adult learners or Documentation is attached that verifies one year of experience caring for the elderly and/or chronically ill.
