We're hiring a Full-Stack Engineer who will own the backend services that power Vironix's care platform — API design, data integrity, and the reliability of the systems clinicians depend on. You're not a specialist: you can navigate a React codebase, ship a frontend change when needed, and aren't blocked by a UI task. You'll work closely with our CTO on infrastructure decisions and take on informal technical leadership as the team scales — unblocking others, owning delivery, and raising problems before they become incidents.
Our core team is based in Austin, TX. We work a hybrid schedule with a few days of in-person collaboration each month. We're looking for candidates already based in Austin, TX.
Requirements
You've built and owned production backend services - Python experience preferred.
Solid SQL and PostgreSQL skills; you care about query correctness and performance
Hands-on GCP or comparable cloud platform experience; GKE familiarity is a strong plus
Comfortable navigating a React/TypeScript codebase and shipping frontend changes when called for
Prior startup experience preferred — you've owned delivery end to end, not just a ticket queue
The maturity to lead informally: you raise problems early, unblock teammates, and operate without a playbook
Strong judgment on when to move fast and when to slow down and do it right
Based in Austin, TX or willing to relocate
