The Sales/ Pro ject Manager is responsible for managing pro jects from initial customer inquiry and quotation through pro ject completion while also driving sales growth and maintaining customer relationships. This role combines technical sales , estimating, pro ject management, and customer service responsibilities to ensure successful pro ject execution and customer satisfaction.The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial construction, architectural building pro ducts, or a related industry and possess the ability to read construction plans and specifications, prepare accurate quotations, manage multiple pro jects simultaneously, and develop strong relationships with contractors, architects, owners, and other pro ject stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, architects, owners, and distributors.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities while growing existing accounts.
Respond to customer inquiries and provide product recommendations and solutions.
Conduct pro ject reviews and identify opportunities to secure specifications and sales.
Follow up on quotations and negotiate pro ject opportunities.
Support revenue growth through effective customer relationship management and pro ject execution.
Review pro ject plans, specifications, and bid documents.
Prepare accurate material takeoffs, estimates, and quotations.
Interpret CSI‑formatted specifications and construction documents.
Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to obtain pricing and technical information.
Ensure quotations align with pro ject requirements and company pro fitability goals.
Track bid opportunities and maintain pro ject pipelines.
Manage pro jects from award through closeout.
Coordinate pro duct orders, deliveries, schedules, and pro ject timelines.
Communicate with customers, vendors, contractors, and internal teams throughout pro ject execution.
Process and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pro ject documentation.
Monitor pro ject progress and pro actively address issues to ensure successful outcomes.
Manage multiple pro jects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and customer expectations.
Assist with pro ject financial tracking and pro fitability management.
Qualifications Required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales , pro ject management, estimating, or a related role within commercial construction, architectural building pro ducts, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, or similar industries.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and CSI specifications.
Experience preparing bids, estimates, and pro posals.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage 10–20 active pro jects simultaneously.
Pro ficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business software applications.
Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
Strong attention to detail and pro blem-solving abilities.
Preferred
Experience with architectural building components, specialty construction pro ducts, HVAC, or commercial construction materials.
Experience working with general contractors, subcontractors, architects, and owners.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
