Mid-Level Project Management Specialist (Level 3) We are hiring a Mid-Level Project Management Specialist to lead and manage the development of analytical tools that enhance program visibility and support data‑driven decision making for the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) division. This role is based in Tukwila, WA.
Responsibilities
Independently lead planning and delivery from inception through completion—define scope, milestones, and success criteria; develop and maintain integrated schedules and resource plans.
Facilitate requirements gathering and translate business needs into prioritized backlogs and actionable use cases; act as primary project contact to align stakeholders and establish objectives.
Establish and run project governance—manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change control; perform analyses and execute recovery plans when off‑plan.
Coordinate cross‑functional teams and serve as primary liaison between developers and stakeholders; keep plans/documentation current and provide regular status updates.
Ensure quality assurance: confirm deliverables meet established standards and collaborate with data scientists to validate analytical models.
Emphasize effective communication, risk management, and quality assurance to deliver actionable insights and operational efficiencies.
Plan and lead user acceptance testing, release readiness, and deployment; manage communications, training, and user adoption; implement continuous improvement of Project Management processes and business systems.
Ensure compliance with data governance, cybersecurity, and export control requirements in partnership with Subject Matter Experts (SME).
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of experience working, collaborating, and/or integrating with engineering stakeholders.
3+ years of experience with analytics and/or project management processes.
3+ years of experience in Agile workflows, Jira, ADO, ServiceNow, and/or similar ticketing and project management platforms.
1+ year of experience working with engineering data.
3+ years of experience in analytics and data visualization.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
5+ years of project management experience delivering analytics, data, or digital solutions in complex, regulated environments.
Project management certifications such as PMP, PMI‑ACP, SAFe, CSM/CSPO, or equivalent.
Familiarity with common Project Management and delivery toolsets (e.g., GitLab, Jira/Confluence, Azure DevOps).
Experience with KPI governance, metric standardization, and data quality assurance from a Project Management perspective.
Working knowledge of data governance, cybersecurity, export control, and compliance requirements; ability to integrate these into project plans and delivery milestones.
Experience in aerospace or defense industries, including familiarity with program performance management practices.
Strong ability to translate business needs into project technical requirements.
Lead UAT/release/adoption.
Experience with Cloud environments, specifically in Azure and Azure Managed Services.
Experience with Palantir Foundry.
Benefits and Compensation Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $101,150 – $136,850.
Best in class 401(k) plan:
match contributions dollar for dollar, up to 10% of eligible pay with immediate 100% vesting.

qualified student loan debt payments counted toward the company match to employees' Boeing 401(k) accounts.
Travel The ability and willingness to travel domestically 15% of the time.

Relocation Assistance Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Security Clearance This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post‑Start is required.
