We're seeking someone to join our Analytics team as a Vice President in Capital Planning to work across a variety of internal and regulatory initiatives. In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Vice President level position within our Corporate Treasury & Capital Planning Job Family which is responsible for planning, managing, forecasting and optimizing capital, liquidity and funding resources; governance oversight of Treasury and Capital Planning; setting frameworks, policies and guidelines for appropriate management of these resources; managing regulatory deliverables and exams; managing CCAR/Capital Stress Testing process. What you'll do in the role
Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm Responsible for and lead aspects of individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging in-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segments Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; proactively identify ways to reduce risk in work Act as a culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards Support internal stress testing preparation and production activities at the Firm's US Banks Assist in the preparation for the US Bank's compliance with DFAST Perform strategic capital and financial analysis across the Firm's various legal entities Assist with global Capital Policy writing, analysis and training Assist in the production and coordination of presentations for Firm senior management and steering committees Assist with capital planning and stress testing automation and process enhancements, including internal controls, review and challenge, and governance initiatives Manage, attract, develop and retain talent for team within Finance while creating an inclusive environment; translate Firmwide goals into actionable goals for department/function What you'll bring to the role
Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and acknowledge efforts of team members Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences, and create plans to mitigate those risks Well-developed analytical capabilities, including ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity Self-motivation and the ability to work well in a team Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy level environment Strong sense of ownership and accountability for work, attention to detail and accuracy is essential Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Familiarity with CCAR / stress testing topics, a plus but not required At least 8+ years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role What you can expect from Morgan Stanley

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $185,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
