Responsibilities Provide face‑to‑face and telephonic crisis intervention services to individuals and families experiencing mental health emergencies in Clackamas County. Key duties include:
Conduct field-based risk assessment, crisis intervention, case management, consultation, and referral for a variety of individuals in need.
Perform outreach and engagement of clients and families struggling with symptoms of mental illness and substance abuse.
Support frequent callers of crisis lines and 911 and provide education to community organizations.
Collaborate closely with law enforcement, dispatch personnel, and other mobile crisis clinicians.
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic clinical record in accordance with OAR and Division procedures.
Assist with the involuntary commitment process under ORS 426.233 when required.
Required Qualifications
Registered as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) as established by the State of Oregon.
Graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related behavioral science field.
Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience providing assessment, triage, and crisis intervention with adults and children.
Experience assessing risk for suicide and/or danger to self or others.
Experience utilizing an electronic health record or similar computerized data system.
Willingness to work overnight, weekend hours and participate in on‑call rotations.
Must possess or obtain a CPR/First Aid certificate within six (6) months of hire.
Must pass a post‑offer pre‑employment drug test and a criminal history investigation.
Valid driver’s license if required for driving responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Current licensure as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD/PHD, or CADC I/II/III.
Experience working with law enforcement, community partners, and collateral service providers.
Experience in mobile outreach, in‑home counseling, schools, or crisis clinics.
Fluency in Spanish and English (oral and written).
Work Schedule This position is the 40‑hour per week, four days of ten hours each, with the following available shifts:
Wednesday to Saturday; 10:00 pm–8:00 am
Sunday to Wednesday; 10:00 pm–8:00 am
Position shares on‑call coverage with other mobile crisis team members on a rotating basis and requires on‑site presence at the Clackamas County 911 C‑COM facility in Oregon City.
