Job Description Summary
Activities contributing to the design and development of high pressure turbine (HPT) components supporting the Large Combat Engineering (LCE) product lines. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. Focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results. Roles and Responsibilities
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements. This work would include mechanical engineering for all products. Utilize in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy. Recognize how your area integrates with others; be aware of competition and differentiators. Use judgment to propose solutions outside set parameters for more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Use technical experience and analytical thinking. Source information from multiple internal and limited external sources to arrive at decisions. Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explain information and develop skills to bring team members to consensus within the field. Convey performance expectations and handle sensitive issues. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 3 years of experience in design engineering. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. Eligibility for U.S. export‑controlled information access (U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or granted asylee/refugee status). Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills. Benefits
