Job Description
Allied Universal® is hiring a Cleared Federal Protective Services Security Officer - SW. At Allied Universal, an Armed Cleared Security Officer is entrusted with sensitive information and given the responsibility to protect classified information and personnel. As an Armed Cleared Security Officer, you'll receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with your clearance level, allowing for skill development and professional growth in the security field.
Full time openings available
Must have 3 recent years of armed military, law enforcement or armed security
Active Secret Clearance is required
Site pay starting at $33/hr (suitability and training completion)
Paid training at $25.00/hr
Job site is located in Washington D.C.
Must be able to obtain FPS suitability (will take up to 60 days)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
- Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
- Greet guests and employees and escorts visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
- Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel
- Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms
- Act as a first responder in emergency situations
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
- High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- Must possess one or more of the following:
- Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site
- Prior military experience
- Minimum of 21 years of age (or higher if required by the state)
- Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
- Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
- Associate's degree or higher In Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field
