The Lead TMA administers medications, ensures quality direct and indirect care to individuals receiving chemical dependency/addiction treatment services, is a supporting team member with the counseling / tech staff and a member of the interdisciplinary team, communicating relevant details, for comprehensive client care. Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 Hourly Shift: Full-Time

Responsibilities
The following duties are routine for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Administers prescribed medications to patients and maintain medical records under the supervision of a nurse. Verifies identity of patient receiving medication and records the name of drug, and time of administration on specified forms or database. Presents medication to patients and observes ingestion or other application or administers medication using specified procedures. May take vital signs or observe patient to detect response to specified types of medications and prepares report or notifies designated personnel of unexpected reactions. Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered. Records and restock medication inventories. Maintains patient confidence and protects the facility by keeping information confidential. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Completes Protocols and ensures they are uploaded Ensures 72-hour Vitals are completed Assists in training and mentoring of new TMA staff May work a variety of shifts to ensure proper training for new TMA staff May create training materials approved by Nurse Manager, to educate TMAs Participate in nursing meetings and assist NM in developing topics to be discussed related to the TMA role Ensure TMAs are completing required shift duties Perform MAR audits Entering orders into the EMAR (with nurse to co-sign) Reporting any concerns promptly to Nurse Manager Assist Nurse Manager as needed with scheduling, staff call-ins, finding coverage for shifts Overseeing refill process Collaborating with outside providers, hospitals, Kai Shin and pharmacy as necessary Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Supervisor.
Skills & Qualifications
High School education or GED Training of medication administration Minimum 1 year experience in a chemical dependency facility preferred CPR and first aid certified. On-going training on of culture Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast -paced environment Ability to communicate with a variety of people from diverse cultures, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds. Flexibility to meet a variety of changing priorities. Computer literate.
