About the Opportunity Our client, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology, is looking for a detail-oriented IT Desktop Support Technician to join their Client Services team for a 6-month engagement. This role focuses on providing high-quality IT support to all end users, acting as the first point of contact for technical issues. This is a high-impact, onsite role that requires a service-minded professional who can manage requests efficiently, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure a seamless experience for employees.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Support Management: Fielding all incoming support requests, managing Tier 1 support tickets via email, Slack, and ticketing systems (Jira/ServiceNow), and ensuring timely resolution.
Account Administration: Creating, managing, and troubleshooting user accounts and access permissions via Active Directory.
Escalation & Tracking: Monitoring, tracking, and prioritizing tickets, escalating complex issues to appropriate IT staff as needed, and maintaining accurate support logs.
Trend Analysis: Identifying and reporting support trends to improve team efficiency and proactive issue resolution.
Onsite Service: Providing reliable, in-person technical support to end users to maintain operational continuity.
Required Skills & Experience
1–3 years of experience in a similar IT Support role.
High-level knowledge of commonly used software, hardware, and applications, including experience with Active Directory and Google Workspace.
Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows, Ubuntu, and macOS environments.
Basic networking knowledge (VPN, DHCP, DNS) and experience with ticketing systems like Jira, ServiceNow, or Confluence.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills, with the ability to diagnose issues rapidly and provide clear, professional communication.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
