Description Under direct supervision this position is accountable to the bedside RN to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family and providers in the department. Responsible for the completion of the duties delegated to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the patient and the RN. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Coursework/Training: Completion of a Medical Terminology course or
Successful completion of a hospital medical terminology test within 90 days of hire
Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association
6 months of experience working with individuals who have mental health and/or substance abuse disorders
Preferred Qualifications:
Coursework/Training: Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant
Completion of a CNA program or six months of healthcare experience

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
