Hospice CNA – Inpatient Unit (Night Shift) JourneyCare Hospice is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for our Inpatient Unit in Barrington, IL. This is a night shift role with a consistent, predictable schedule and competitive hourly pay. Pay and Schedule
Base pay: Up to $26/hour - based on experience Night shift differentials: $1.25/hour for weekday nights and $2.50/hour for weekend nights Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Includes every other weekend and 3 holidays per year
Qualifications
Certified by the state as a nurse aide Maintains a current CPR Certification List on the state aide registry with a clear record able to deliver care to patients 18 years of age unless state law dictates otherwise Valid driver's license with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements or reliable transportation preferred
Hours: (3) 12-hour shifts/week 7PM-7:30AM including every other weekend and 3 holidays/year Location: Barrington CareCenter Now offering up to $26/hour Night shift differentials: Additional $1.25/hour during the week nights and additional $2.50/hour on a weekend night What We Offer

What You'll Do
The Hospice CNA-IPU (Certified Nurse Assistant – Inpatient Unit) works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient's personal comfort needs at the unit. The CNA is responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed. Performing personal care needs after given a patient's assignment and attending to his/her requests promptly. Meeting safety needs of patient and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, O2 etc.) Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linens as often as assigned Reporting on patient's condition and significant changes. Also aware of the caregiver or other individuals visiting with the patient and interpersonal issues Adhering to the organization's documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct
