Henry Ford Health is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Athletic Trainer to support our student athletes at Jackson High School. As a part of our vibrant community, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the health, performance, and success of our student-athletes. About Jackson High School: Jackson High School, a Class A member of the Michigan High School Athletic Association, offers 28 varsity and sub ‑ varsity sports and is seeking a dedicated Athletic Trainer to serve as one of two athletic trainers within Jackson Public Schools. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive health care program for student ‑ athletes and other patients. This role requires strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to athlete’s safety and well ‑ being. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator who can serve as a key liaison between the Jackson High School athletic department and Henry Ford Health, ensuring seamless coordination of care, injury management, and health education. Provide athletic training services to our athletes at Jackson High School.
Be the liaison between Henry Ford Health and Jackson High School to help coordinate various appointments within the health system.
Collaborate with assigned Henry Ford Health team physician and various healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
Play a hands-on role in helping athletes reach their peak performance by delivering individualized care for both injuries and overall wellness.
Educate on best practices for maintaining health and promote long-term wellness.
Expand your skills by offering services beyond the school, including assisting in physician clinics, community outreach, and engagement events.

What We’re Looking For:
Board of Certification (ATC) and Michigan state licensure (or eligibility to obtain before hire).
A post-professional master’s degree in athletic training or related field is preferred, along with two years of experience (can be combination of education and experience).
Strong ability to work independently while thriving in a team-oriented environment.
Knowledge and adherence to NCAA, NJCAA, and MHSAA policies, with a commitment to supporting community outreach programs.
Additional Skills or Certifications:
Additional certifications like CSCS, PES, FMS, CKTP, EMT are highly valued.
