Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Radiologic Technologist II specializing in CT imaging during night shifts. This role involves operating radiology equipment under physician supervision to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Essential Responsibilities
Verify patient identity using two forms of identification and confirm physician orders before procedures. Participate in mandatory meetings, in-services, and continuing education to maintain competency. Maintain departmental competency checklists and utilize resources efficiently. Identify and report issues to support problem-solving and process improvements. Collaborate positively within a team environment and uphold organizational mission, vision, and values. Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations to protect patient health information. Maintain professional communication with patients, healthcare team members, and external agencies. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education and Experience Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Radiologic Technology is required. Demonstrated proficiency in general operating room procedures and at least one specialty area is essential. Licenses and Certifications
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and CT. Licensed by the appropriate state board of healing arts. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 30 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications Two years of clinical experience post-graduation is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of human anatomy and radiological positioning protocols. Commitment to patient safety and radiation protection following ALARA principles. Ability to verify physician orders and safely administer imaging contrast agents. Effective communication skills to explain exam procedures, risks, and benefits to patients. Leadership qualities with experience mentoring staff and students.
Physical Requirements This position involves light physical work, including occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and standing or walking 11-25% of the day, with or without accommodation.
