Job Summary Support department leader with the day-to-day supervision of the Adult Residential Clinical Services Assistants Job Responsibilities
Perform direct care Clinical Services Assistant duties. Assist with supervision of adult residential unit; assess situations, make decisions based on process and policy specific to the wellbeing of clients in conjunction with clinicians, and perform daily inspections of the unit (including Environment of Care rounding). Assist with hiring staff; screen and interview applicants and monitor onboarding progress. Orient new staff and ensure that required trainings are scheduled and completed. Support the administrative and clinical supervision provided by the program manager/supervisor by serving as a resource lead for Clinical Services Assistants and providing peer supervision to staff. Develop and maintain staff schedule; arrange shift coverage as needed. In the absence of the program manager/supervisor, facilitate monthly staff meetings and ensure staff attend required training programs. Train and support staff professional development by demonstrating appropriate therapeutic interactions with clients. Provide crisis intervention in partnership with clinicians. Complete all required paperwork and make necessary notifications. Attend required meetings, daily treatment meetings, rounding, and other meetings in the absence of the department manager/supervisor. Ensure that client random urine screenings are administered in accordance with policy. Reviews documentation system to ensure staff complete daily documentation including unit-specific objectives and interventions. Update client record to document services rendered, as directed by the program manager/supervisor. Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Associates in Drug and Alcohol Recovery Counseling (DARC), Human Services, or related field; or related experience as specified below Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field is preferred Three years' experience in a mental health or substance abuse related field One year of supervisory experience is preferred CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) & First Aid training required (exception: PHP program). Medication Certification required (exception: PHP program) Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC)/Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) is preferred
