Senior Enterprise Risk Manager Often an area that is misunderstood - Enterprise Risk is central in how the objectives and strategy of the business can be effectively married with the overall risk function and the different risk divisions. With this in mind, an investment firm is hiring at Senior Manager level for someone to lead Enterprise Risk Governance for the Dublin office. Your key task in managing Enterprise Risk will be to pull together the narrative of where the risk profile of the organisation is at any one time. Youll be assessing at a holistic level where the critical risk factors are currently and then drawing conclusions on appropriate level of comfort with those risks when set against the wider risk appetite generally. From there youll then be communicating to senior management and really painting a clear picture on where the current risk profile sits. This means conveying how the different risk areas are affecting each other so that management can decide on suitable action. As the Dublin operations are still quite young, youll also be taking the lead in building out Enterprise Risk policies and frameworksand really putting continuous improvement at the forefront of this process youll be supported from Group level in achieving this of course. Your core objective here is to understand the business and gain a real appreciation about what the important risk factors are so that ERM is fully integrated with the business. In summary, facilitate the business in taking the right risks and help them avoid taking the wrong risks. Your Day-to-Day ERM Risk Governance Connecting the dots from available risk information to convey the risk story for the Dublin entity while ensuring alignment with Group level in key messages and tone. Lead the updating and completion of the Enterprise Risk programme to meet both internal and regulatory requirements. Provide ERM support for the firm's ongoing application for a banking license with the Central Bank of Ireland. Enterprise Risk Management Support the annual refresh of Risk Appetite Statement as well as ongoing monitoring against agreed measure and reporting this to the executive board. Lead the annual production of the Risk Appetite Scorecard reviewing overall performance against aforementioned Risk Appetite Statement during the year. Your Background Extensive experience in Enterprise Risk or related risk area. Youll be an independent thinker Analytical & Strategic Someone who goes beyond simply following processes. In-depth understanding of Risk at a qualitative level and ability to communicate both in writing & in presenting to senior levels.
