In this role, you will supervise pre-analytic laboratory operations. When you join our team, you will be part of a supportive caregiver family that will be united in shared values and purpose to fulfill our promise of being the best place to receive care and the best place to work in healthcare.
A caregiver in this position works days, 8:00am-5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Oversee the Pre-Analytic laboratory or Call Center operations for one or multiple sites.
Responsible for all employment related activities, budgets, fiscal performance and adherence to quality and safety guidelines.
Supervise and develop a high performing, customer-oriented team.
Provide leadership and support staff to perform quality work as outlined by department and Cleveland Clinic policies.
Review and ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and quality of work.
Ensure proper staffing levels, workflow and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
Conduct competency assessments and performance appraisals and maintain appropriate documentation.
Review/approve department schedules, paid time off and leave requests.
Coordinate hiring, orientation, scheduling, and staff development including continuing education initiatives.
Assist with policy and procedure development; ensures compliance.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve procedures, processes, speed, quality, and effectiveness. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor's Degree
2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
4 years of relative experience
OR High School Diploma/GED, 6 years of supervisory or leadership experience, and 4 years of relative experience
OR Associate's Degree, 4 years of supervisory or leadership experience, and 4 years of relative experience Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Phlebotomy Leadership & commercial lab experience Physical Requirements:
Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires dexterity sufficient to operate a computer. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, biohazards, radioactive materials, etc. Must be able to travel to various Cleveland Clinic sites as needed. Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires dexterity sufficient to operate a computer. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, biohazards, radioactive materials, etc. Must be able to travel to various Cleveland Clinic sites as needed.
