Project Engineer (OSD) This role is based in Athlone, Co. Westmeath, requires onsite commuting. GerTEK is an engineering consultancy company specialising in project management, talent solutions and commissioning qualification and validation services. We partner with many of the world's largest life science & technology companies who entrust in us to deliver their most strategic and important projects. Role Overview We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our team in Athlone. This role focuses on the design, installation, and commissioning of Oral Finished Product (OSD) manufacturing equipment and facilities. You will be a key player in executing large-scale capital projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment. Key Responsibilities Project Execution: Lead technical workstreams for OSD equipment (tableting, coating, granulation) from concept through to final handover. Technical Design: Develop and review User Requirement Specifications (URS), P&IDs, and detailed design layouts. Vendor Management: Liaise with equipment manufacturers and third-party contractors to ensure delivery on time and within budget. Commissioning & Qualification: Lead FAT/SAT activities and support the Validation team in executing IQ/OQ protocols. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all engineering activities adhere to EHS standards and global cGMP requirements. Required Qualifications & Experience Education: Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Process preferred). Experience of project engineering experience within the Pharmaceutical sector. Regulatory: Experience working in a sterile or highly regulated cGMP environment.
