Are you an experienced Virtual Design and Construction Designer with a passion for BIM? Are you a creative, smart and driven individual that enjoys working with complex projects within a team environment? If this is you, we want you on our team!
You will be a part of a highly creative and efficient multi‑discipline BIM design team, tasked with designing challenging and complex projects with innovative solutions for Amazon owned Data Center facilities. You will provide support to our central engineering team through the preparation of federated BIM models and BIM data. You will influence Data Center design documents with multi‑disciplinary coordination, clash detection and resolution, constructability reviews, building code compliance, and design optimization. You will produce and maintain coordinated BIM for our fleet of Data Centers.

Key Job Responsibilities
Coordinate consolidated templates and in‑source and trade models of our Data Centers, and utilize Revit and Navisworks to maintain our standards.
Work independently and within a team environment to accomplish assigned tasks, collaborating with internal groups as well as external suppliers and consultants, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors.
Be self‑motivated and work within the BIM Design group as well as with other teams.
Update and modify existing models, studies and construction documents as required.
Assist with creating, maintaining, and enforcing BIM templates and standards.
Audit project deliverables and monitor quality.
Lead design coordination meetings with other trades for clash detection and resolution.
Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations.
Assist the project team with information exchange processes between internal and external customers.
Provide coordination support for information requests during construction phases.
Record and report key metrics to management.
Travel to Data Center sites for engineering evaluations and surveys as required (once or twice a year).
Offer creative, out‑of‑the‑box solutions and maintain a positive attitude.
A Day in the Life As a designer, you will collaborate across disciplines and teams to refine data center designs. Your work includes creating detailed models, drawings, specifications, prototypes, and updating managers and leaders of changes to the building design. You engage in design discussions, review feedback from peers and collaborators, and adjust designs to ensure our data center solutions meet the highest standards of efficiency and quality.

Basic Qualifications
Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience with Autodesk Revit and BIM coordination, and 3+ years of producing construction drawings for mission critical facilities.
Experience with Navisworks.
Experience with Autodesk Forma or ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud).
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems.
Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
Experience using a variety of web‑based and other software tools for calculation and data processing.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
