The Embassy Suites by Hilton, located near the Charlotte airport, is currently hiring for full-time and part-time Night Auditors. The persons hired will need flexibility to work varying hours; weekday and weekend availability is required.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: To provide efficient and courteous service to each customer; accurately computing the daily income of the hotel by verifying that all customer accounts are correct and in balance by the following morning and functioning as the overnight Manager-on-Duty (MOD) in accordance with company policies and procedures
RESPONSIBILITIES
Meets and exceeds customer and team member expectations by providing service and teamworkVerifies and balances daily charges for all departments to customer folios, master accounts and house accounts; makes corrections as necessary in accordance with company policyRuns computer through nightly processing sequence to reset for next day's use in balancing of applicable functionsIf applicable to hotel, audits food and beverage income posting and chargesAudits room revenue and other incomeReviews all credit card vouchers for proper imprints, authorizations, and correct amountsProcesses all city ledger work to accountingAdheres to hotel policies and proceduresKeeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significancePerforms night clerk duties as Guest Service Representative in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this positionMaintains a favorable working relationship with all other employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climatePerforms such other ancillary and related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor or General ManagerMust achieve required threshold scores according to brand and company inspections
REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma1-2 years of experience working as a Hotel Night AuditorExcellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent math and reconciliation skillsExperience using hotel reservation system such as FOSSE or PEP is a plusOrganization skills and attention to detailCustomer Service orientedMust be flexible in work hours to accommodate last minute changes in schedulingMust have strong interpersonal skills to engage and interact with associates and guests
JOB SETTING AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employees in this position work primarily indoors. To perform the job successfully the candidate must be able to use a computer and other standard office equipment. The Night Auditor must be able to quickly maneuver to any location in the hotel. Fluency in the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read and write are required as is the ability to work any hours/days of the week necessary to meet business requirements.
