Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company is a vertically integrated musculoskeletal outcomes management company. HOPCo is the managing partner of Arizona-based entities, CORE Institute, Northern Arizona Orthopedics, CORE Institute Specialty Hospital, Michigan-based CORE Institute, and Florida-based Southeast Orthopedic Specialists.

This role plays a key part in ensuring strong financial controls, maintaining financial accuracy, and supporting financial reporting processes.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our growing healthcare organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who is comfortable managing both daily accounting operations and the month-end close process in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
  • Oversee daily transactional accounting activities
  • Prepare financial reports and analyze variances
  • Work extensively within NetSuite
  • Assist with audits, internal controls, and process improvements
  • Partner closely with the Controller and finance leadership

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (required)
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Proven experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting
  • Experience managing daily accounting transactions
  • Healthcare accounting background
  • NetSuite experience strongly preferred

Preferred:

  • CPA or CPA-track
  • Experience in a transaction-heavy healthcare environment
  • Leadership or mentoring experience
