Key Responsibilities
Generating ideas and shaping visual direction
Bringing concepts to life in ways that resonate with diverse audiences
Approaching work holistically, considering the full consumer journey
Collaborates with an Art Director partner to execute creative concepts under the guidance of the Creative Director
Contributes original thinking and helps shape big, culturally aware ideas
Ensures all written communication reflects the brand’s tone, voice, and strategic positioning
Delivers innovative and high‑quality work that meets strategic goals, client expectations, and inclusive storytelling standards
Organizes, prioritises, and manages multiple projects and collaborative teams in a deadline‑driven environment
Communicates ideas clearly—on brand, on message, and tailored to the intended audience
Prepares and presents ideas to internal teams and, when needed, to clients with clarity, structure, and an inclusive communication style
Understands and consistently applies brand guidelines, continuity standards, and positioning
Has a strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and other relevant creative tools
Updates and refines copy decks, scripts, and written assets with attention to detail and inclusivity
Contributes writing and conceptual thinking to new business pitches
Proactively identifies opportunities to elevate creative quality and storytelling, with support from senior team members and directors
Uses and engages with emerging AI tools to enhance creative development, visual exploration, and workflow efficiency in an ethical and inclusive way
Continues learning, building AI creative craft, and experimenting with new technologies to support innovative and responsible creative solutions
We seek individuals who are curious, collaborative, and dedicated to expanding their knowledge of art, design, and integrated creative experiences. You will bring creative thinking from ideation through execution, centring Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to support meaningful, culturally aware work for dentsu and our clients.
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in copywriting or a similar creative role
Experience contributing to work that reflects cultural awareness, inclusive communication, and diverse perspectives
Strong conceptual thinking and experience working on integrated advertising campaigns
Ability to turn creativity, insights, emerging technologies, and strategic thinking into compelling written solutions
Proven writing craftsmanship across a variety of media and formats
A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within diverse, cross‑functional teams
Strong communication and presentation skills, with comfort presenting ideas to groups in an inclusive and engaging way
Additional Information Vacancy: YES – This posting is for the purposes of filling an existing vacancy.
Salary: CAD $70,000 – $80,000. Actual salary within the range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills.
Benefits: A range of medical, dental, RRSP, paid time off, and other benefits are also available to all permanent employees.
