Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing personalized treatment strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions either independently or in collaboration with physicians (depending on credentialing) Educating patients and their families on preventive measures, wellness practices, and effective disease management Prescribing medications and therapies within your designated scope of practice Engaging in patient follow-up and overseeing chronic care management Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive approach to care Documenting patient interactions meticulously within electronic medical records (EMR) Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Required Certifications
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Florida National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to achieve within 90 days) Attributes That Will Set You Apart
