Join the team at Hersheypark Camping Resort, campground located a few miles down the road from Hersheypark amusement park that features log and deluxe cabins, tent sites, and partial and full-hookup sites.
The store clerk is responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and accurate service to all guests of the Hersheypark Camping Resort.
As a Part-Time Team Member, you will enjoy sweet perks like FREE admission and parking to Hersheypark, discounts on food & shopping, and more as soon as you receive your Employee ID!
Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
- Entering sales into the POS system*
- Selling cross-destination attraction tickets via the Galaxy system*
- Conduct business with guests with a smile, enthusiasm & professionalism*
- Stock firewood bundles, kindling, and bags of ice
- Assist in delivering merchandise across the Camping Resort property*
- Handle all cash and credit card transactions*
- Assist the Manager/Supervisor with store opening and closing procedures*
- Stock shelves and assist with rotating products to standard*
- Assist with cleaning, sweeping, and mopping of the Country Store*
- Perform other job duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must possess a valid driver's license
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times
- Must be able to safely operate a golf cart
- Must be able to perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Must be friendly, upbeat, work well with other employees, and be able to interact with our guests in a fast-paced environment
- Must have strong conflict-resolution/problem-solving skills
- Must be able to multitask while prioritizing job tasks and assignments
- Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines
- Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information
Job Demands:
- Physical requirements include the ability to stand (for up to eight hours at a time), walk, bend at the waist and knees and have repeated manual dexterity, and the ability to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level, and lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, with shifts starting as early as 7AM and ending as late as 11PM, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work in a combination of indoor and outdoor weather conditions. Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather.
